We are a Play Therapy and Talk-based psychodynamically oriented therapy practice .
The first session is a complimentary, parent-only consultation lasting approximately 60 minutes. This initial diagnostic session allows us to gain a comprehensive understanding of your child, including their personality, behaviors, strengths, and current coping skills, as well as your concerns, family dynamics, and relevant history. Children do not attend this session, as we want to ensure they do not feel “talked about” or believe something is wrong with them. Our goal is for your child’s first experience with therapy to feel safe, positive, and supportive.
The second session is a 45-minute visit with both you and your child. This session is designed to help your child become comfortable with the therapy space and provider, ask questions, and begin building rapport. Your child will not be asked direct questions about behavioral or emotional concerns during this visit. Instead, the focus is on creating a positive first impression and helping your child see that therapy is a supportive process their parents believe in.
The third session and all ongoing sessions are 45 minutes each and may involve your child individually (when they feel comfortable) or include parent participation, depending on your child’s needs and the focus of treatment. We collaborate closely with families and tailor each session to what best supports your child’s growth and healing.

We have a unique focus that addresses the root causes of your child’s behavior. Uncovering and dealing with the underlying reasons for the behavior is the best way to tackle these problems and have long lasting results. Take an assessment below, according to your child's age, to see if your child could benefit from therapy!
